Terms of Service.
1. Welcome to Orbit
Orbit is a local command center for AI-assisted development. It gives you one view over your workspaces, agents, terminals, approvals, and project health, running primarily on your own machine. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Orbit and its related services.
By installing or using Orbit, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Orbit.
2. Using Orbit
You must be at least 13 years old to use Orbit. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use Orbit with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
You are responsible for the machine you run Orbit on, for the credentials and keys you connect to it, and for keeping your own environment secure.
3. Your workspaces and content
Your projects, source code, and configuration stay on your machine. Orbit is local-first by design: it does not require your code to leave your computer for the product to work. You retain all rights to your content.
4. Agents and automation
Orbit lets you set AI agents in motion across your workspaces. You choose which runtimes and models your agents use, and you configure which actions require your approval.
You are responsible for the actions your agents take, including any changes they make to your files, repositories, or systems. Orbit's approval features are tools to help you stay in control; they do not remove your responsibility for the work your agents perform.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Orbit to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
- Access systems, data, or services without authorization.
- Distribute malware or otherwise interfere with the operation of any system.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute Orbit in violation of its license.
6. Third-party services
Orbit may connect to third-party services — including model providers, runtime platforms, and font services — based on your configuration and choices. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services.
7. Availability and changes
Orbit is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will use reasonable efforts to keep changes legible to you — that is part of the product's promise — but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
8. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orbit is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-generated output can be inaccurate, biased, or unsafe; you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will the Orbit team be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Orbit. Our total liability will not exceed the greater of the amounts you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim or ten US dollars ($10.00).
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be announced within the product. Continuing to use Orbit after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
